Designed as a party-sized prepared mix that is packed full of essence of a festive period, rendering it perfect for hosting a festive gathering. Save the extra citrus syrup for morning drinks, sweets, or to make additional servings of the drink.
The Bikini Cocktail
Makes enough for 10 guests
Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
For the Drink (yields 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
For the Cordial: Place the listed ingredients into a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating to dissolve. Then, turn off the burner and leave to cool completely. Transfer to a sealable bottle, seal keeping it in the fridge, it can be stored for up to a month.
To make Cocktail Base: Combine every spirits and syrup into one sizeable container, leave to sit for an hour, then strain , ideally through a fine cloth, so it's completely strained.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml from the batch mix to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and agitate carefully for one minute until cold. Filter into an cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, garnish with the cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a quick spritz with the mandarin essence above the glass.
